Payments, Pricing & Partner Tiers
Clear, predictable commercial terms for studio rollouts.
This page explains how payments, pricing, and Partner Tiers work for studio training rollouts — including pilots, direct rollouts, and future expansions.
It is intended as a reference for engineering managers, studio leadership, finance teams, and procurement. Each section can be read independently, making it easy to find the information you need.
Pricing at a Glance
These are the core rules that everything else on this page builds upon.
- Pricing is per seat
- Seats are assigned to individual developers
- Every seat includes lifetime access
- There are no subscriptions
- There are no renewal fees
- Discounts are applied through Partner Tiers
In short: purchase once, assign seats to individual developers, and receive bulk discounts as your studio grows.
Paying for a 30-Day Pilot
Pilot seats are purchased on a per-seat basis and include full course access.
During the pilot:
- Seats remain flexible throughout the 30-day period
- Seat purchases are not refundable
- Final seat holders are confirmed at the end of the pilot
A pilot gives your studio the opportunity to determine:
- Which developers benefit most
- How many seats are appropriate
- Whether a broader rollout makes sense

Retroactive Discounts During a Pilot
The pilot is the only stage where discounts are applied retroactively.
When additional seats are added at the end of a pilot, the final Partner Tier is calculated as though all seats were purchased together.
Discount Example
| Stage | Seats |
|---|---|
| Pilot begins | 5 |
| Added after pilot | +15 |
| Final total | 20 |
Because the final purchase totals 20 seats, the 20-seat Partner Tier discount is applied to the entire purchase.
This allows studios to:
- Start with a small pilot
- Expand based on real usage
- Receive the same pricing as if the full rollout had been purchased from the beginning
What Happens at the End of a Pilot
After the Day 25–30 review meeting:
- ✓ You’ll have a 7-day confirmation window
- ✓ Final seat holders are confirmed
- ✓ Seats become lifetime licenses
- ✓ A single consolidated invoice is issued
- ✓ The appropriate Partner Tier discount is applied
There are no renewal fees or ongoing licensing costs after purchase.
Paying for a Direct Rollout
Some studios choose to skip the pilot, typically after completing an Evaluation Access review or because they’re already familiar with our courses.
If needed, we’re happy to help estimate an appropriate starting seat count.
For direct rollouts:
- Seats are purchased upfront
- Developers receive access once the proposal is signed
- Invoices are issued after access has been granted
- Seat assignments remain flexible for the first 30 days
- Final seat holders are confirmed after that period
Partner Tiers & Bulk Pricing
How Partner Tiers Work
Partner Tiers provide volume discounts based on the number of seats purchased on a single invoice.
| Seats | Discount |
|---|---|
| 5–9 | 10% |
| 10–14 | 15% |
| 15–19 | 20% |
| 20–49 | 25% |
| 50+ | 30% |
Partner Tiers are designed to reward larger studio rollouts while keeping pricing predictable and easy to understand.
Maintaining Your Partner Tier
Partner Tiers are based on the total number of seats your studio purchases over a rolling 12-month period.
Once your Partner Tier has been established:
- Future purchases receive the same discount
- Higher seat totals automatically move your studio into the next tier
- Previous invoices are not recalculated
- The only exception is during a 30-Day Pilot (see above)
If your studio makes no additional purchases for 12 months, your Partner Tier resets and future purchases are assessed from the standard pricing.
Expansion Examples
Scenario 1 — Growing an Existing Rollout
| Purchase | Result |
|---|---|
| Initial rollout: 10 seats | 15% discount |
| Later expansion: +10 seats | Expansion invoice receives the 25% Partner Tier discount |
Scenario 2 — Crossing a Tier Threshold
| Purchase | Result |
|---|---|
| Initial rollout: 2 seats | No discount |
| Later expansion: +3 seats | Expansion invoice qualifies for the 10% Partner Tier discount |
The original two seats remain at their original price, but they count toward your studio’s Partner Tier.
Scenario 3 — No Expansion Within 12 Months
If no additional seats are purchased within 12 months:
- Your Partner Tier resets
- Future purchases begin again from the standard pricing
- New Partner Tier discounts are established as additional seats are purchased
Individual Purchases & Education Budgets
Individual developers may purchase courses using personal learning or education budgets.
For these purchases:
- Receipts are provided
- Credit card payment is available
- Purchases are invoiced separately
- Partner Tier discounts do not apply
If those developers later become part of a studio rollout, we’re happy to discuss the most appropriate commercial approach.
Finance & Procurement
For studios requiring procurement or finance information:
- Invoices are issued in USD ($) or EURO (€)
- Reverse charge mechanism is applied (This means no VAT/Tax is added to the invoice)
- Tax IDs are collected during the purchasing process
- Vendor registration can be completed if required
- Standard payment is by invoice and bank transfer
- Credit card payment is available for individual purchases
What We Don’t Do
To keep licensing simple and predictable:
- No subscriptions
- No automatic renewals
- No hidden pricing changes
- No unexpected licensing fees
Questions or Special Cases
Every studio operates a little differently.
If your organization has requirements such as:
- Complex procurement workflows
- Multi-entity invoicing
- Non-standard rollout timelines
we’re happy to discuss them during an introductory call or by email.
